DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED
OUR PRIORITY IS DEVELOPMENT. IN OUR PROGRAM, WE FOCUS ON REFINING FUNDAMENTALS AND DEVELOPING NEW SKILLS. WE EMPHASIZE SKILL AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MORE THAN WE DO PRACTICING OR PLAYING GAMES. PLAYERS WILL EXPERIENCE REAL IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR CURRENT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, FUTURE GAME.
THE CURRICULUM
IN OUR PROGRAM, PLAYERS EXPERIENCE TRAINING METHODS DEVELOPED FOR PLAYERS AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS. THEY LEARN GAME CONCEPTS, ACTIONS, AND PRINCIPLES THAT ARE TAUGHT IN HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGIATE, AND PRO SETTINGS.

FORMATIVE YEARS.
EACH PRACTICE IS INTENTIONAL AND STRUCTURED, TEACHING PLAYERS OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE PRINCIPLES THEY WILL NEED TO BE FAMILIAR WITH AT THE NEXT LEVELS OF THE GAME, WITH DETAILED BREAKDOWNS OF POSITIONING, READS, AND PLAYER MOVEMENT.

NBA Skills Trainer Joshua Villarreal is the Owner and Director of the Skilled Game Basketball Club Program. Seeing a need for more structure, focus on skill development, and game study at a younger age, Joshua decided to take his professional expertise to create a unique club experience unmatched in quality. He has created a program environment where players can truly be students of the game and receive the necessary instruction to ensure their game advances to a higher level.
Joshua is the Head Coach of our Middle School National Teams and Regional Competitive Teams, and will be adding more teams to his coaching line-up as the program expands.
We also have a team of experienced, trusted, highly knowledgeable, and passionate coaches who share the same development goals as Skilled Game Basketball.

FAQ
What age groups do you serve?
We currently serve 2030 (8th Grade) and 2031 (7th Grade) players, but we will be extending our grade range to 4th through 12th grades in February 2026. Tryouts will be held throughout December and January. Please fill out a form so you don't miss out on tryout dates!
When are your tryouts?
We will announce tryout dates on Instagram and send emails to those who fill out the form above.
When opportunities arise between tryouts based on roster openings and positional needs, we will contact players who fit the criteria for a personal evaluation.
Do you have girls' team?
We do not currently have any girls' teams.
